Terms of Service
Effective October 5, 2026
About the service
How I Do It is operated by Doab.ai at howidoit.doab.ai. Contact hello@doab.ai with questions. Please read these terms and the Privacy Policy before using the service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use it.
The service helps you plan prototypes, prepare an AI environment, and understand reports about your tools. Dato—the Digital AI Technology Officer—provides explanations, draft recommendations, and prompts for your chosen builder.
Accounts and responsible use
Use accounts and material you are authorized to use. Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and report suspected unauthorized access. Google sign-in does not automatically grant course admission or instructor privileges. Use shared practice accounts only for their disclosed purpose and with invented examples.
Do not bypass access controls, access another person's information without permission, distribute malware, harass others, disrupt the service, evade usage limits, or submit unlawful material. Do not submit patient records, sensitive personal records, passwords, API keys, or tokens. Follow applicable law and your organization's requirements.
Report security concerns privately to hello@doab.ai. Do not expose another person's information while investigating an issue.
Your work
You retain the rights you already hold in your submissions. You give us limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, transmit to service providers, and display that material to authorized participants as needed to deliver the features you choose, support the service, and meet legal obligations. Ownership does not transfer to us.
This permission does not authorize reuse of proprietary pitch or project content for secondary research, teaching other students, training general-purpose AI models, or competing products. We will not sell your personal information, learning records, pitch decks, project content, or datasets derived from them.
Non-proprietary learning patterns may help improve teaching under the Privacy Policy's safeguards. Formal research involving learner-level information beyond course delivery requires a separate explanation, voluntary consent, and applicable institutional review. Course participation and these terms are not research consent. Declining will not affect instruction, access, grades, or instructor treatment.
Advice, not a completed or certified build
Dato's output is educational assistance. It may be incomplete or wrong and is not a security certification, professional sign-off, clinical advice, legal advice, or regulatory approval. It does not establish that a prototype is suitable for production or real records.
Audits rely on reports you supply; they are not continuous inspections of your accounts or devices. Confirm important findings in the relevant systems. You decide whether to run prompts, connect tools, publish software, or act on advice. Test with invented data and obtain qualified review where appropriate.
AI output may resemble other output or contain third-party material. We do not guarantee uniqueness, ownership rights, or freedom from infringement. Review it before use.
Courses and shared spaces
Course access may require approval and acceptance of the course visibility notice. Authorized instructors can review course and team work and relevant activity; teammates can access shared team work. Personal projects remain separate unless you share or copy material into a shared space.
Courses may have additional institutional rules or agreements. These terms do not override mandatory institutional or legal requirements. The service does not promise credit, certification, a particular grade, or institutional endorsement.
Fees and availability
The current public offer is free through October 31, 2026, with no card required. Invited students have the access described in their course arrangement. Usage limits may apply.
Free access does not automatically become a paid subscription. Any later charge requires pricing and billing terms to be presented and agreed to first. We will explain continued-access options before the current offer ends.
Features, models, and limits may change, and interruptions can occur. Keep copies of important work. We will give reasonable notice of material reductions or discontinuation where practicable, except where urgent security or legal needs require faster action.
Third-party services and resources
External tools and providers have their own terms, pricing, and availability. A recommendation or link is not a guarantee of their services. Library materials retain their applicable ownership and licenses; access does not by itself grant permission to republish them.
Restrictions, leaving, and deletion
You may stop using the service and contact hello@doab.ai to request account or content deletion. Available controls support some content removal and export. The Privacy Policy describes retention and shared-copy limits.
We may restrict access for a material breach, suspected compromise, abuse, legal requirements, or the end of a course entitlement. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us about it. Urgent protective action may happen first. Losing course access does not itself delete shared submissions or institutional records.
Legal rights and changes
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free output, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Contact us to try to resolve a concern. This does not restrict your right to seek legal relief. Applicable law determines rights and dispute procedures where these terms do not specify them.
We will date revised terms and notify affected users of material changes. New charges require the agreement described above. Policy changes alone do not authorize research participation or sale of learner data.
